Trees are beautiful objects to admire and to represent or picture, in whatever medium. Especially the wild shapes of this Pinetree and the rosy colors of its bark attract me. Looking up at this marvelous, sturdy and strong plant makes one feel small. It is a mighty tree and I tried to convey that in this painting. I gave the tree a blue-ish green in the background, which is my favorite color.
